Our Mission

Since Burges High School opened its doors in 1955 the world has really changed.  The Burges family and traditions haven’t changed. We regularly talk about what it means to be a Mustang in our community.  Attending Burges means that you are part of a proud and strong family!  The Burges family has high expectations with powerful academic traditions.  We are committed to developing high character and academically successful students.  ALL students, given their diverse abilities, will be prepared to be a successful member of our community and graduate in 4 years.  It is so encouraging to see our kids stepping up and being part of the community with food drives, public forums, etc.  It is rewarding to witness how successful our teams and clubs are being on the field, court, and in the classroom.

Burges High School students will graduate to be ethical and responsible citizens who use critical thinking skills to solve real world problems.

BE Student Action Statement

I will be self-driven to achieve my goal  with a positive impact within my community.

As we enter our hallways and as we leave our doors:  May we never forget where we are from. May we always remember we’re MUSTANGS. May we make this community a better place by our ACTIONS. May we make this world brighter by the way we live our lives!
